These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and 42 Dijital Yazılım Limited Şirketi ("Scanned," "we," "our," or "us"), the provider of the Scanned mobile application (the "App"), the scannedapp.com website, and related services (together, the "Service").
By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, revocable, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, limited license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own lawful use. We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service that are not expressly granted to you.
You can use the core features of the App without an account. Some features — such as syncing your library across devices — require you to sign in with email, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
You retain all rights to the documents, images, text, signatures, and files you create or upload using the App ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty‑free license to host, store, copy, transmit, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — for example, to recognize text, convert documents, sync your library, and run AI features you trigger. This license ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except for content already shared by you or copies retained as required by law.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to use it with the Service and that it does not violate any law or third‑party right. Do not scan, store, or process documents you are not authorized to handle, or that infringe others' privacy or intellectual‑property rights.
The App offers features powered by artificial intelligence, including text clean‑up, table extraction, summarization, question‑answering, translation, file‑name suggestions, and categorization. When you use these features, the relevant text and/or page images are processed by third‑party AI providers, as described in our Privacy Policy, after you grant in‑app permission.
AI output, optical character recognition (OCR), and document conversions can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. They are provided for convenience only and are not professional, legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any results before relying on them. Do not rely on the Service for decisions where errors could cause harm.
Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store and are managed with the help of our subscription provider (Adapty).
We may change features and prices over time; changes will not affect a subscription period you have already paid for. See our Subscription Terms for additional details.
Document conversion and AI features require an internet connection and rely on third‑party services (for example, cloud hosting and AI providers). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third‑party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks (but excluding Your Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual‑property laws. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written consent.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute terms) will survive.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR‑FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT OCR, CONVERSIONS, OR AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING YOUR OWN BACKUPS OF IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCANNED AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scanned and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third‑party right.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict‑of‑laws rules. Subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and Scanned only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third‑party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Your use of the App must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Subscription Terms, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
